Too Faced | Dream Queen Makeup Collection | Review, Tutorial & Swatches

I wait all summer for Too Faced to release their seasonal fall/winter palette and makeup collection.
And their 2018 Dream Queen limited-edition makeup collection, available exclusively at Sephora, did not disappoint!

Video tutorial here:

What it Comes With:

- Makeup Palette
 - Dreamy Lips Ultra Plush Lip Gloss in Pink Swan
- Travel-Size Hangover Setting & Prepping Spray
- Mini size of their famous mascara and...

- Large fold-over makeup bag

Makeup Palette

Eyeshadows:

24 lovely eyeshadows with matte, shimmer, pearl, and metallic finishes.
All of the shadows are velvety soft and have excellent pigmentation.
Even the glittery foils have minimal fallout.

Swatches

Some of the lighter shades don't show up super well on my fair skin, but they are beautiful shades and I often use them as a subtle highlight for the browbone.
Top to bottom:
Twinkle (a pearly bone shade with a hint of gold shimmer), Polar Bear Hug (a light taupe shimmer),
Let's Kringle (a matte terracotta brown), Snowball Effect (a matte cream color),
Son of a Nut-Cracker (a reddish brown matte), Keep Your Hands to Your Elf (soft metallic pink),
Let's Roll (matte warm plum), Special Delivery (matte black)

Top to bottom:
Wrap it Up (bright peach shimmer), Unwrapped (matte cinnamon brown),
All the Jingle Ladies (metallic bronze), Pink Flurries (matte raspberry pink),
Kiss Miss (matte carnation pink), Holy Grail (iridescent gray-brown teal),
Christmas Cheer (shimmering mahogany brown), Silver Bells (metallic silver)

Top to bottom:
Secret Santa (matte light brick), Christmas Cookies (chocolate brown shimmer),
Here for the 'Hos (espresso brown shimmer), Cozy Up (metallic currant red).
S'elfies (mallow shimmer), Santa's Bakeshop (light mauve matte),
Christmas FOMO (pearly bright violet), Holly Daze (shimmery teal).

Face Time:

It also comes with (top to bottom):
1 highlighter in Snow Extra (shimmery champagne) which looks quite dark in the pan but it blends to a beautiful lit-from-within glow.
2 blushes in Sweet on Santa (pearly coral) and Winterberry (rose pink with fine glitter).
1 Bronzer in Chestnuts Roasting (dark amber).
These face colors are universally flattering and are so blendable. It is so easy to customize a shade by blending it into your skin or mixing with another shade.

This spectacular palette is enough to keep any makeup lover entertained for hours, but as mentioned above there's more...

Extras

Mascara: Their mascara is famous for a reason; it is a phenomenal product!
It has a super rich formula and gives the appearance of false lashes.
If I over sleep and don't have time to do much, if any, makeup, I use this mascara and it pulls my whole look together.
Lip Gloss: This is a very nice gloss. Not too sticky, gives a hint of color, and high shine.
It can also be used over a lipstick for extra shine.

Setting Spray: As mentioned in my video, I have never been a big believer in makeup setting sprays. I always thought that they are just water and wildly overpriced.
But, since this collection came with one, I figured, why not give it a go?
I was pleasantly surprised! I used it to set my makeup and 12-hours later, my makeup was still perfect, as if I had just applied it.
Now I'm a believer. This spray has coconut water and probiotic-based ingredients.
It can also be used to prep skin for makeup application.

Makeup Looks

There are endless looks to create with this makeup set.
Every time I use it I am thrilled with the results.
Here are just a few of the looks I've created so far:

Here for the 'Hos in the crease
S'elfies on center of lid
Chestnuts Roasting (bronzer) under cheekbone
Snow Extra (Highlighter) on top of cheekbones
Winterberry (blush) under apples of cheeks

  1. I love the photos in this post! These shades sound like they're right up. I wish I could see some swatches though! I got to about them while doing my group makeup lesson for begginers which helped me a lot to learn new makeup skills with communication skills.

  2. Ladies with delicate skin have found that they should be specific in picking their facial items. Perpetual corrective cosmetics may not be commonsense for them. Some conventional items bother skin, causing humiliating red blotches and skin imperfections.
