Hi Beauties!
Today's review is of a super innovative product from Cailyn Cosmetics.
It's a lip balm + lip brush all combined into one fun product!
It is super convenient and great for on-the-go!
This lip balm comes in 18 different shades ranging from light, light pink to a dark purple.
There are also lipstick toppers in pearly and glossy balms to go on top of your lip color for a beautiful finish.
The shade I purchased is 13 Coral. It's a great neutral tone balm that flatters virtually all skin tones.
Balm break down:
Brand: Cailyn Cosmetics
Name of Shade: 13 Coral
Color: Coral Pink
Finish: Cream
Formula: Balm
Smudges/Drying/Sticky: No/No/No
Lasts for: 6+ Hours
Brush stats:
Finish it Gives: Matte
Formula it Works Best with: Cream, Balms
Finish Smudges/Streaks/Runs: No/No/No
Bristles Splay: None
Pros: The bottle design is very clever and it's super convenient to have the brush easily snap and store on top of the lip balm pot.
You'll never have to search around for a lip brush because it's safely secured to the balm. It lasts for a fairly decent amount of time, especially for a balm.
Another great pro is that it is free from many chemicals; including sulfates and GMOs.
Cons: The brush doesn't give quite as much precision as a typical lip brush, but it is definitely adequate. The balm itself is slightly waxy, but once you work with it, it is very nice.
Star Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭑⭑ (3 out of 5)
Would I Repurchase: I would in a darker shade (personal preference 😉)
Cailyn also has gel eyeliners, brow gels, and loose powder eyeshadows in these unique bottles with brushes that snap right in the top.
Vacation packing just got a lot simpler!
These babies are available at some salons, Amazon, ebay, and Wal Mart.
