Gilligan's Island: Ginger Inspired Makeup

As we continue down the rabbit hole of classic sitcoms,
next up is Ginger, the 'Movie Star' on Gilligan's Island.
Made popular by actress Tina Louise.

Ginger looked pretty glamorous for being stuck on a secluded island for 3 seasons.

Neutral shadow, lashes, strong contour and peach lipstick were the main staples of Ginger's look.

The whole time I was doing this makeup I kept saying to myself
"put the mole on right [meaning correct] side".
So I put it on the right (wrong) side instead of the left, haha.

In a lot of the episodes her bottom lash line was strong but did not connect to the upper
lash line at all. She may have been wearing false lower lashes as well.

Products I went with:

Ulta: Complete Eye Palette in Indie
Crown Brush: Deluxe Infinity Shadow/Crease Duet C476
Real Techniques: Base Shadow Brush
MAC: 217 Blending Brush
MAC: Pigment in Vanilla
Real Techniques: Accent Brush
Maybelline: Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner in Blackest Black
Sonia Kashuk: Core Tools Bent Eyeliner Brush - No. 107
NYX for Ipsy:
Tru Rituals Dual Ended Eyeshadow Brush
Urban Decay: Perversion Mascara

NYX: Contour & Highlight Pro Palette

I Dream of Jeannie Inspired Makeup

Continuing on the classic sitcom train of thought
I did an I dream of Jeannie inspired look, based on the character
made popular by Barbra Eden.

Remember? Major Nelson, Major Healey, Doctor Bellows, the blink, no?
Well then open a new tab, Google I Dream of Jeannie episodes, and watch now.
It's okay, I'll wait...

Done? Good!

Depending on the episode Jeannie either had bright blue eyeshadow or very
sculpted, winged shadow.
I combined the two a bit.

I don't have Jeannie's bangs or talented hairstylist so the closest I could
come to her hair without dropping a ton of money on a wig
(or making a major commitment to bangs)
is her high ponytail.

Made a bit of a mess while recording.

Products were:
NYX: Avant Pop Art Throb Eye Palette
Tru Rituals Dual Ended Eyeshadow Brush
Urban Decay: AC/DC Eyeshadow
MAC: 217 Blending Brush
Maybelline: Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner in Blackest Black
Sheer Cover: Angled Eyeliner Brush
Crown Brush: Deluxe Infinity Shadow/Crease Duet C476
N.Y.C. Eyeliner in White
Urban Decay: Smog Eyeshadow
Tru Rituals Dual Ended Eyeshadow Brush
Kiss: i-Envy Paparazzi 01 Lashes
Benefit:  They’re Real Mascara
NYX: Wonder Stick in Light
Real Techniques: Sculpting Brush
L’Oreal: True Match Super Blendable Blush in Baby Blossom
Sonia Kashuk: Synthetic Domed Multipurpose Brush - No 16
Starlooks:  Lip Gloss in Guilty Pleasure

I Love Lucy Inspired Makeup Tutorial

It goes without saying I love 'I Love Lucy'.
So, in honor of the iconic show and its star I put together this look.

With quite possibly the worst wig (hey, it was cheap)
I tried to recreate Lucy's look.
Which is harder than it sounds because the majority of pictures
from the show are in black and white.

For the eyeshadow I wasn't too concerned about color,
because she usually wore more neutral shades.
It was more about sculpting the shape and
making my eyes look bigger like Lucy's.
To make my eyes appear wider I used a white eyeliner on the lower waterline
and false lashes from e.l.f.

(This dress could belong to Minnie Mouse, just saying.)
Lucy's cheeks were more rounded than mine so
I used NYX Highlight & Contour Pro Palette to give a more rounded look.

Not my best look.
And the wig looks like it was from the musical Annie.
Guess I've got some "splaining to do" (haha).

But no one can compare to the lovely and talented Lucille Ball.
It was enjoyable trying to recreate some of her most iconic looks.

And who could forget her famous "Vitameatavegamin" skit?

Here is the video tutorial:

Carolina Panthers Makeup

This should've been posted Friday, but my video editor decided to malfunction
several times and delay the entire process.
Any suggestions on a better video editors?

Anyway, my Panthers look is complete!

Teal blue, silver and black, I had quite a bit of fun with their colors.

Only major issue was lack of teal lipstick

But have no fear (I'm sure you were worried :), I was able to create my own.
A little Vaseline and some bits of powder eyeshadow,
mix them together and, voila! Teal lipstick.

And of course Panthers need whiskers so more eyeliner was needed.

Here is my video that narrowly made it through editing:

And in case you missed the Broncos one:

I hope you enjoy the makeup looks and enjoy the game Sunday.
"May the odds be ever in your favor."
