A tad later than I had hoped to post this but still totally relevant.

I have noticed that the products I receive in my ipsy bag one month, a couple months later my friends will receive some of the same ones and vice versa.

So, buckle up for some honest reviews 💓

My Overall Star Rating for September's: ⭐⭐⭐⭑⭑ (3 out of 5)

Thoughts on September's Glam Bag: Some very lovely products (and some just okay). I gave my Glam Bag away, so no picture of it 📷 (I think it was pink). The liquid liner in this month's bag is killer!

Here we go!

1. KALEIDO COSMETICS: Obsidian Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner

Brand: Kaleido Cosmetics
Product: Eyeliner
Name of Shade: Obsidian
Color: Black
Finish: Matte
Formula: Liquid
Waterproof: Yes
Smudges/Streaks/Runs: No/No/No
Lasts for: 10+ Hours

Pros: This liquid liner is inky black and highly saturated. It gives ultra precision lines; slim for a subtle "no makeup" look or thick for a dramatic defined effect. This liner is also waterproof and cry-proof, and it doesn't smudge or streak.

Cons: No cons!

Star Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ( 5 out of 5)
Would I Purchase: Yes

Final Thoughts: Kaleido's liquid liner in everything you could want from an eyeliner: it's highly pigmented, gives precision application, lasts for hours, and doesn't run or smudge.

Two thumbs up 👍👍

2. OFRA COSMETICS: OFRA x Madison Smiley for Ryleigh Lip Gloss

Brand: Ofra Cosmetics

Product: Lip Gloss
Size: Full Size
Name of Shade: Smiley for Ryleigh
Color: Preach
Finish: Gloss/Shimmer
Smudges/Drying/Sticky: No/No/Some
Last for: Approximately 3 Hours

Pros: This gloss gives a nice sheer, slightly frosty finish on lips. It has super fine glitter which adds a shimmer element to the gloss. It keeps lips moisturized due to the antioxidants it contains and prevents drying. It is a great topper for lipstick, especially a more matte one to keep lips hydrated.

Cons: It does not have much pigment in it and it takes several coats to achieve bottle shade. It is a bit sticky, like most lip glosses. I like Ofra cosmetics but this is just a typical lip gloss.

Star Rating: ⭐⭐⭑⭑⭑ (2 out of 5)
Would I Purchase: No

Final Thoughts: It is an O.K. lip gloss and it does provide hydration and protects from dryness, but for the price, you can get the same affect with a drugstore lip gloss and lip balm for less cash.

3. PHASE ZERO MAKE UP: Satin Eyeshadow in Velvet

Brand: Phase Zero

Product: Eyeshadow
Name of Shade: Velvet
Color: Currant to Plum Purple
Finish: Shimmer/Satin
Formula: Pressed Powder
Fallout: No
Blendable: Yes
Chalky/Flaky: No/No
Lasts for: 8+ Hours

Pros: This shadow is incredibly blendable, perfect for creating a smoky-eye look. It glides on smooth like butter and has buildable coverage. It can go on sheer for a hint of plum color or be built up to a more intense currant shade. 

Cons: This eyeshadow shade can look like a bruise if not blended properly. The outside edges need to be blend with another shade, ideally a matte, cool-toned shade.

Star Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭑⭑ (3 out of 5)
Would I Purchase: Maybe, but in a different shade.

Final Thoughts: Velvet from Phase Zero has a soft, buttery texture that makes blending effortless. It is versatile in color coverage from sheer to opaque. The shade needs some blending color transition work so it stays a pretty plumy-currant color instead of ending up looking like a bruise. 

4. F.A.R.A.H BRUSHES: Contour 218M in Midnight Blue

Brand: F.A.R.A.H. Brushes

Name of Brush: Contour 218M

Feature Brush is Made for: Contour

Feature I Use it for: Contour, Highlighter, Blush

Formula it Works Best with: Powder or Liquid

Bristles Splay: None so far 

Pros: This brush has super soft bristles that make applying face makeup pleasant and easy to blend. The indentations on the handle are perfectly placed for comfortable thumb and forefinger rest.

At first glance the bristles look black, but upon further inspection you will notice that they are ever so slightly midnight blue, giving a fun pop of color to an already lovely brush.  

Cons: None.

Star Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5 out of 5)
Would I Purchase: Yes

Final Thoughts: Excellent face brush with multiple uses, an easeful handle grip, comfy blending, and endless possibilities. 

5. DUFT&DOFT: Nourishing Hand Cream in Pink Breeze

Brand: Duftt&Doft

Product: Hand Cream 

Formula: Cream

Scent: Peach & Pink Peony  

Pros: A pretty little tube which contains a nourishing and hydrating hand cream. Unlike other moisturizes this cream absorbs into skin quickly so there is virtually no greasiness after applying.    

Cons: The scent was bit too much for me. For the fragrance this should be a less is more situation.

Star Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭑⭑ (3 out of 5)
Would I Purchase: Probably Not (scent related)

Final Thoughts: This is a quaint little hand cream that protects against dryness and helps retain moisture. The scent is little strong.
