Thoughts on December's Glam Bag: Very pleased! Some nice face products for sculpting and contouring.

ipsy's December glam bag fit its theme of "Shine On" well. 

This shiny, aluminum foil-esque makeup bag goes with any color outfit and is perfectly suited for a casual or more formal event. 

1. AVON: True Color Glimmersticks Diamonds Eye Liner in 24 Karat

Brand: Avon

Product: Eyeliner
Name of Shade: 24 Karat
Color: Yellow Gold
Finish: Shimmer-Matte

Formula: Pencil, Cream-Gel

Blendable: Yes

Waterproof: Yes
Smudges/Streaks/Runs: No/No/No
Lasts for: 8+ Hours

Pros: Smooth and creamy texture, this eyeliner glides on effortlessly.

 It is soft like a cream eyeliner, but has the staying power of a gel. 

It has a matte-shimmer finish and it stays put for hours with no smudging. This liner is pretty nearly waterproof, it has such a good gel base to it. 

I have several shades of Glimmersticks and have been using them for years. 

This shade is so lovely and perfect an for  extra pop of sparkle💠  

Cons: Being so creamy in texture also makes it extremely soft; therefore with too much pressure the tip of the liner will break off or crush onto the eyelid or lash line. 

Other shades of Glimmersticks do not have the same softness and I haven't had this problem with the other shades.

Would I Purchase: Yes.

Final Thoughts: A really nice eyeliner that gives clean lines, blends well, and stays put for hours. Extra TLC is needed when applying it because of the softness, but it's easy to work with.

2. SPACE CASE COSMETICS: Blush in It's Not Me, It's My Sign

Finish: Matte-Pearl
Formula: Pressed Powder
Fallout: None
Smudges/Streaks: No/No
Blendable: Yes
Chalky/Flaky/Crumbly: A little/No/No
Lasts for: 10 Hours

Pros: A fantastic universally flattering blush. It gives a nice matte finish with a subtle pearly highlight.

Majorly blendable and buildable you can give yourself a soft flush of color or build it up to a more intense shade. 

It has crazy staying power and doesn't steak or flake.

 

Cons: It is just ever so slightly chalky, not a major drawback, but it is there.

Star Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5 out of 5)

Would I Purchase: Yes

Final Thoughts: A beautiful orchid-pink blush that gives you so many color intensity options; from a dusty soft flush to a deep blush. Even though there is a tiny bit of chalkiness when you first swirl your brush in the pan, this is a wonderful blush that still deserves five stars 👽

3. TARTE: Amazonian Clay Waterproof Bronzer in Park Ave Princess™

Brand: Tarte Cosmetics

Product: Bronzer
Name of Shade: Park Ave Princess™
Color: Golden Bronze
Finish: Light Shimmer
Formula: Pressed Powder
Fallout: None
Smudges/Streaks: No/No
Blendable: Yes
Chalky/Flaky/Crumbly: No/No/A little
Lasts for: 10+ Hours

Pros: This super pigmented bronzer packs a punch, a little goes a long way with this royal shade👑

 I use it as a contour shade as oppose to a bronzer (with my skin tone bronzing ends up looking like I have dirt on my face) and it works beautifully for contouring.

Thanks to the Amazonian Clay in the bronzer it looks just as stunning at the end of the day as when you first apply it and doesn't fade or streak.

Cons: It is a little crumbly in the pan when the brush hits it.

Star Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭑ (4 out 5)

Would I Purchase: Yes

Final Thoughts: This bronzer is fabulous for blending and has great staying power 

This was the product that I chose for December's bag and I'm not disappointed.

The color is gorgeous and gives a natrual and smooth look to skin.

 

4. KENSIE: Free Spirit

Brand: Kensie

Product: Eau de Parfum 

Name of Scent: Free Spirit

Fragrance Notes: Black Currant & Bergamot 

Scent: Fruity & Floral 

Duration Before Fading: 6 Hours

Pros: A nice mixture of floral and fruity scents that creates a fun and vibrant fragrance. 

You can't help but feel energized when you are wearing this scent. And the travel sized bottle is perfect for on the go.

Cons: The scent is a little overpowering when first applied, but once it has time and air exposure it does give a pleasant scent.

Star Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭑⭑ (3 out of 5)

Would I Purchase: No

Final Thoughts: The scent is sweet and fruity, but little too sweet for me to wear often.

5. LUXIE BEAUTY: 237 Blending Dreamcatcher

Brand: Luxie Beauty

Name of Brush: 237 Blending

Formula it Works Best with: Powder
Blends Makeup Well: Yes
Bristles Splay: None

Pros: The perfect blending brush; rounded at the end with tapered bristles that make it ideal for blending and buffing eyeshadow. 

It is lightweight but sturdy enough to withstand even the tightest grip (smoky eye looks are not for the faint of heart 👀). It also gives precision application of shadow and the brush handle is such a pretty blue shade.   

Cons: None!

Star Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5 out of 5)
Would I Purchase: Yes

Final Thoughts: As with all Luxie brushes this one is expertly crafted and gives a seamless look to makeup. Everything you could want from a blending brush.
