Today we're going to take a closer look at the products that came in January's ipsy glam bag for an in depth review. So clear out some space in your makeup drawer because some of these products are a MUST have!

Thoughts on January's Glam Bag: Really splendid! I can almost create a full face makeup look with the variety of products this month 😘

I adore January's bag! It reminds me of marble counter tops.

If I ever own a house, this is what I want in the kitchen lol 😜

January's theme was 'Clean Slate' and I think that's fitting.

The beginning of the year is a great to clean out old or expired makeup (or the products your just not using) to make room for new and exciting makeup releases coming out (read Urban Decay's Wired Palette!)

Now, let's take a look at which January products are a must try!

1. ARACELI BEAUTY: Ojos Perfectos Liquid Eyeliner in Night/Noche

Brand: Araceli Beauty
Product: Eyeliner

Color: Black
Finish: Matte
Formula: Liquid, Pen
Waterproof: Yes
Smudges/Streaks/Runs: No/No/No
Lasts for: 16+ Hours

Pros: Araceli's liquid liner is incredible! It applies in a smooth, inky stroke across the lash line from the extra long precision felt pen tip. The color is super black, so it is adds extra definition to the eyes. And this formula is extremely waterproof! It also lasts for hours on end. Not only did it last forever without smudging on my eyes, but the swatch on my arm (which you can see above) stayed on through multiple showers.

But fear not, it comes off easily with coconut or baby oil.

Cons: I wish the cap snapped on the pen a little tighter; I'm slightly worried it might dry out a little, but it hasn't yet.

Would I Purchase: YES!

Final Thoughts: This eyeliner is so fantastic! It is super pigmented, long lasting, and doesn't run or streak. I'm quite impressed with this amazing liner!

2. BELLÁPIERRE COSMETICS: Liquid Shadow Eye Candy in Venus

Brand: Bellapierre Cosmetics
Product: Eyeshadow

Finish: Shimmer
Formula: Liquid
Smudges/Steaks/Runs: No/No/No
Blendable: Not After it Dries
Lasts for: 8+ Hours

Pros: This super creamy shadow glides onto lids beautifully and blends nicely. Then, it dries to a comfortable, shimmery pigmented finish that won't budge all day. The color is rich and has the perfect amount of shimmer to give a gorgeous, bronze shine.

Cons: I really can't think of any!

Star Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5 out of 5)

Would I Purchase: Yes

Final Thoughts: Fabulous liquid eyeshadow that stays put, dries comfortably, and looks shimmery all day long.

3. CIATÉ LONDON: Glow To Illuminating Blush in Matchmaker

Brand: Ciaté London

Product: Blush/Highlighter

Name of Shade: Matchmaker

Color: Bright Rose

Finish: Shimmer

Formula: Pressed/Baked Powder

Fallout: None

Smudges/Streaks: No/No

Blendable: Yes

Chalky/Flaky/Crumbly: No/No/No

Lasts for: 10 Hours

Pros: The swirls of highlighter in this blush make it a definite multitasker. The shade is super flattering and gives your skin a nice illuminated glow. It has pretty decent staying power and doesn't fade much throughout the day.

Cons: Not a big fan of products that are more like the "baked" consistency, I can never get enough of the product on my brush for my liking. It fades a little bit throughout the duration of the day.

Would I Purchase: Yes

Final Thoughts: Really lovely blush/highlighter combo. The shade is universally flattering and lasts for a fairly long time.

4. JULES SMITH BEAUTY: Power Gloss in Moonbeam Dream

Brand: Jules Smith Beauty

Product: Lip Gloss

Size: Mini
Name of Shade: Moonbeam Dream
Color: Iridescent
Finish: Glossy
Formula: Gloss
Smudges/Drying/Sticky: No/No/Minimally
Lasts for: 3+ Hours

Pros: This gloss is so much fun! You can wear it alone for a frosty look or use it as a topper over your favorite lipstick shade. As far as glosses go this one lasts a while on lips and thanks to the iridescent sparkles it shines different colored shimmer depending on how the light hits it . This gloss has a comfortable glossy finish and even once it begins to fade it leaves a subtle hint of shimmer behind.

Cons: As with any gloss it is a tad sticky. It also has an odd pefume-y scent that I can't quite place, but I'm not fan of it.

Star Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭑⭑ (3 out of 5)
Would I Purchase: Maybe

Final Thoughts: A really pretty lip gloss with beautiful iridescent flecks, decent lasting power, and a nice finish. Minimally sticky and weirdly scented.

5. THEORIE: Charcoal Bamboo Detoxifying Body Scrub

Brand: Theories

Product: Body Scrub

Size: Mini

Formula: Liquid/Scrub

Skin Type It Works Best For: Dry-Combination

Pros: This unique scrub is perfect for dull, dry winter skin. It exfoliates with gentle micro beads and leaves skins feeling smooth, clean and refreshed. It also has a calming fresh scent .

Cons: Can be a little drying if not followed by a moisturizer.

Star Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭑ (4 out of 5)

Would I Purchase: Probably

Final Thoughts: A very good scrub and excellent exfoliant. Is gentle and has a nice scent to it. Use a moisturizer after applying.
