Pink Eyeshadow | Tutorial | Fall 2024 Trend

Hey Makeup Lovers!

Hope you're having a lovely fall 🍂
In honor of the new season, I'm kicking off my series of fall makeup trends.
And we're starting with a fun, vibrant pink eyeshadow tutorial.

You can catch my video tutorial here

Pink? For Eyes?

Yep, pink. Maybe it's a spill over from Barbie-core last year, or maybe pink was just tired of being confined to lips and cheeks, but either way pink eyes made quite a statement on the runway at Fashion Week.
Whether it was lined across the lids or smudged onto the inner corners, splashes of bright pink popped up on many of the major designers' stages.

There are quite a few options for pink shadows from powder to liquid, from light to bright.
Brighter, more intense pinks are what was popular at Fashion Week and today I'm going to show you how to wear a bright pink eyeshadow for everyday.

What Goes with Pink?

Honestly, almost everything goes with pink, Barbie knew her colors.
But, for my tutorial I went with a dark liquid liner to give a contrast to the deep pink shadow.
And a frosty pink lipstick pairs nicely with the matte pink eyeshadow too.
So, read on for my pink eyeshadow tutorial!

1. Matte, Bright Pink Eyeshadow: With a rounded eyeshadow brush cover your eyelids with a matte pink shadow up to the crease of your eye and blend lightly.
I used Hard Candy's Moods palette in Wink. The 'I' in the wink palette was the perfect shade.

2. Pink Highlight & Black Eyeliners: Dust a light pink eyeshadow (the 'W' in the Wink palette) all over your brow bone for a pearly highlight.
Next take a very black liquid liner and trace it across your top lash line, winging it out a just a bit at the outer corners of your eyes.
Then, with a black pencil liner, line the lower water line of your eyes for some extra intensity.

3 Purple & More Pink Highlight + Mascara: Use a matte violet eyeshadow to line along your lower lash line (the 'K' shade in the Wink palette).
Take more of the light pink eyeshadow and dust it on to the inner corners of the eyes.
Use a black volumizing mascara on top and bottom lashes to frame eyes.

4. Concealer + Contour + Liquid Blush: Clean up any fallout from the eyeshadow with a concealer that matches your skin tone.
Take a light bronze contour shade and run it under your cheek bone, angling upwards.
Dab a liquid coral-pink blush onto the apples of your cheeks and blend with your fingertips until softly diffused.

5. Cream Highlighter & Pink Frost Lipstick: Run a pearly white highlighter stick along the tops of your cheek bones and blend with your fingertips.
Finally, swipe a frosty pink lipstick on your lips for an extra shot of pink.

And we will have...

Our finished fall Pink Eyeshadow tutorial!

Pairing the vivid pink eyeshadow with an intense black eyeliner gives a lovely contrast and makes the pink eyeshadow less "circus" and more intentional in a put-together look.

Staying in the same color family for eyes, face, and lips keeps the whole look more balanced and complimentary.
